Awkwafina
Awkwafina, an American actor and singer, began with a series of rap songs dealing with issues related to sexuality and race. Her career expanded to Hollywood following the release of several rap songs. Nora Lum, born in Forest Hills Queens to Chinese and Korean immigrants, was her first music experience. She performed on the trumpet. Additionally, she was given Jazz and classical training before becoming a hip-hop teenager. While in college, she took classes in writing and women's studies. She even spent some time learning Mandarin in Beijing. When she graduated, she started to pursue music as her main focus. In 2012, My Vag (as a retort to Mickey Avalon's My Dick) became an online hit, and it was featured in her debut LP Yellow Ranger.
